Nameserver redundancy is limited
- DNS
- Domain Name System
- NS
- Nameserver record
Fewer than two authoritative nameservers were returned.
What are authoritative nameservers?
Authoritative nameservers hold the official DNS answers for a domain. Publishing multiple independent nameservers helps the domain remain resolvable when one server or network is unavailable.
What to do next
- Check the nameservers set at your domain registrar.
- Use at least two nameservers supplied by your DNS provider.
- Where possible, keep them on separate networks.
How to verify the fix
Query the NS records again after the registrar change completes.
When this result may be wrong
A temporary delegation change or cached parent-zone response can briefly show an incomplete set.
